An appropriate name.

This is Yew Tree Cottage.

An impressive tree. But how do the owners go about trimming the tree each year to keep its shape.I suspect they may need to hire a cherry picker.

Now to finish off yesterday's Ant blip. The best Latin name for a Yorkshireman, as suggested by a fellow blipper, is Homo eboricum. ( This was of course the Roman name for York.)
But what the Ant saw was the subspecies Rohaniensis. I should explain that Rohan is the name of a nationwide chain of outdoor clothing stores first established near Skipton in Yorkshire. It sells high quality gear for those who love the great outdoors at what some believe to be rather high prices.

The specimen identified by the ant was wearing a Rohan cap, a Rohan shirt, a Rohan jacket, Rohan bags, Rohan socks and Ecco trainers sold in Rohan stores. I should add that he will not pay for expensive Rohan underpants because as Mrs. K. explains nobody but her will see the label.

In natural history it is the details which confirm the identification.
