Seen today from Grizedale hide at Leighton Moss where incidentally they have started work on building a forty foot observation tower which will allow you to see over a large part of the reserve.

BBC Autumn Watch is back there again later this month. A good time to keep away as parking becomes impossible with hundreds of extra visitors. An old cynic like me may believe that many of them are coming to try to get a glimpse of that rare creature Chris Packham.

Seriously it is very good for RSPB as last year after the programme they signed up hundreds of new members.
