Woodland Wild Flowers

We went for a walk in some nearby woods this afternoon. The wood is looked after by The Forestry Commission, and they have been doing a lot of work in there recently, getting rid of some of the non-native species, and generally tidying much of the undergrowth and alongside the paths.
There were a few of these little purple flowers still remaining, and one solitary bee was paying a visit.
DOG POO - Not a very nice subject, but...... Now, we always always clean up after our two boys, and if there are no bins (as there are not in this wood - why would there be - who would empty them?) it is bagged and taken away by us for disposal. This wood in particular has been getting worse and worse for culprits not cleaning up after their pets, or cleaning up and then leaving it! Today near the entrance to the wood there must have been about 15 to 20 full poo bags all hanging from small branches like some bizarre bridal arch,  or from sticks that had been pushed in to the ground for that purpose.
WHY?? Why do people gather it up and then leave it in this disgusting way for someone else to clear up? We walked past all this and then the next 100 to 150 yards of footpath (about 4 metres wide and hard core) was covered in dog poo in various stages of decay, which we then had to dance around on tiptoes to avoid. I don't know which was worse - the bagged but left, or the unbagged and left.  These people give all dog owners a bad name, and their habits are absolutely vile and disgusting.
There, I've said it. I feel better now......................
