Annette Peacock - Love Me Tender (1972)
My favourite Elvis cover. I bought the album I'm The One, from which this is taken, when it came out in 1972, and even though I have since bought it on CD, the original vinyl copy is still a prized possession.
Mick Ronson used Annette Peacock's arrangement of the song for his cover on the 1974 album Slaughter On 10th Avenue.
