From Russia with love

This gorgeous box of hazelnut chocolates was a gift from two visiting professors Anna and Elena from the Samara region of Russia. They had come to find out about third age learning which we know a lot about at Strathclyde University in Glasgow. Samara is situated in the south eastern part of European Russia where the Volga and Samara rivers meet.
Formerly a closed city, Samara is now an important economic and cultural centre. Samara's riverfront is considered one of the favourite recreation places with a long and beautiful embankment. While Russia is politically not in the good books at the moment Elena and Anna were tops. I'll see how long I can make these last!
