From Lapland but not Santa!

It was the second meeting of the Minsmere Reedlings group today and it was much better weather for it than in September when we got absolutely drenched! This group is for the under fives and their parents. 18 children today and lots of enjoyment.

Had a pootle out after lunch and found that the lapland bunting was being very well behaved out on the dunes. Very obliging and only occasionally bothered by walkers (it almost got trodden on at one point).

The reserve is looking very autumnal now with leaves beginning to turn colour. There was definitely an autumnal edge to the air today too.
