Big bird(s)

Another Sunday afternoon visit to Minsmere, this time to meet up with a twitpal. Poor thing is suffering from sciatica so couldn't walk very far but her daughter and I did head along North Wall to the sea and back.

Highlight was a large number of Long Tailed Tits peeping their way from tree to tree.

After meeting them I made a quick visit to Island Mere Hide (avoiding the busy Bittern Hide which was full of those hoping to see the Little Crake) Right across the water were 2 large white birds. One is a Mute Swan the other a Great White Egret. These large herons are becoming regular visitors and may, in time, become as familiar as their smaller cousins the Little Egret.
