Early morning training

Ran before sunrise this morning. Cool and still. The rowers were out on the harbour in moderate numbers. 

Then a heavy day finishing the agenda, before collecting the rental car and driving to Porirua for another overnight before another day in crisis work.

The longer evenings enticed me into a walk beside the Porirua Stream. I heard and then saw a tui. It was deep in a dark tree, and then flew a short distance to a kowhai in the sunlight. Going closer to the tree didn't chase it away, and I'm pleased with the shot I've added as an extra for today
