Conkers in a Conch

When Shelley and I took a day-trip last week, we both picked up some of the conkers, or chestnuts.

I was thinking that my squirrels would like them, but after remembering the words from the Christmas song...Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...I hit the internet, and found various opinions and ways on how to cook them.
For humans...not for rodents.


That's what I'm going to do. As soon as I finish typing and posting this, I'm going to find my man-apron...and hit the kitchen.
