Above And Beyond...

Mountain Road

After breakfast we set off from our base in Kotor up the mountain road via numerous bends over 10 miles to reach Lovcen National Park. There a gate keeper deprived us of 2 euros each to drive through the park. It should have been lovely, but we were so high up that we could see nothing due to the clouds which had dropped.

The blip picture was taken about half way up (or down if you want) and is of Kotor Bay with a sailing vessel that has been moored up all day. We can see it from our apartment.

We stopped off in Njegusic village which is renowned for its salt preserved hams. A lovely old man, who spoke no english, showed us around his cellar and we bought a large jar of his home preserved ham and his honey from his bees. His home white wine was nice so we had a bottle of that, too!

We're just off into Kotor Old Town for our evening meal. Mrs BB says we can splash out 3 euros for the taxi back. Yay!!
