Essence of Autumn Vll

Another cold and cheerless day with only a few minutes sunshine. I had a bit of an impromptu half day in lieu of next Friday when I have to work, but even rushing round the Sussex back lanes there was little to inspire me. 
In the end I have settled for this shot of some birch trees in the forest, I quite liked the way the dying bracken gives a russet coloured line through the middle of the picture. 
I really do hope tomorrow is better :-(
