A Little Guest

As it was breezy, I picked a sprig of my Pieris Japonica to photograph inside. I carefully arranged it and peered through the viewfinder looking for the best angle, only to see a little leg waving at me. As I watched, this little spider appeared and posed in the space between two of the bells. I have no idea what it is called, but it is rather sweet.

The Pieris is smothered in flowers at the moment. One of its common names is 'Lily of the Valley' shrub because it resembles the little Lily of the Valley plant.  That is also flowering right now with its strong sweet  perfume.
