A Meandering Life...

Flower Friday 16 :: ff16 :: Tai-O flower

If you look closely, very, very closely and maybe only in the thumbnail you'll see a pink flower in a very small bush. So this is my Flower Friday offering.

Today we were back in Tai-O, a small village on Lantau Island that is famed for it's tin houses on stilts. It is also called Hong Kong's Venice. Take a look at my Blip from last November to see why. We explored a little wider than in previous visits. We climbed a local hill for a vantage point. A bit crazy with all those steps and heat. We then found the old Police Station that has been converted into a very high end hotel.

This year we took a local ferry from Tung Chung to Tai-O which passed through the construction of the new Hong Kong to Macau mega bridge.

My extra today is of the bridge in the making. It was taken through the dirty ferry window so looks a little poor but gives the feel of what mega task they have under taken. I have a feeling this bridge may feature in my Blip on Sunday, more then.
