London Victoria

London Victoria is in fact two stations, the London Brighton and South Coast Railway and London Chatham and Dover Railway, both wanted access to the West End of London. They cooperated with each other, as described in this link to the Network Rail site.

This shot is of the LBSCR terminus, a part of the station I rarely go to, usually coming in from Kent on the old LCDR LINE.

Back up to London, to the Ministry of Justice for the monthly project board meeting then back home to get a myriad of things done prior to setting off for Peterborough enroute for the Lakes. An overnight stop at a Travelodge proved a challenge, 50m from the A1, a fan that didn't stop and a delivery at 6.00am combined to make a difficult night. All the quieter rooms had gone!
