Goodbye Edinburgh

Our last day in Edinburgh, we caught the train from Waverly and are now traveling south (actually now home).

Before going to the station we had plenty of time to go to the National Gallery, this time for more than a coffee and a wee, though we did that too. The place is huge and a good few hours would be needed to do it justice so we selected a few of the galleries we wanted to see.

From there we went to the Writers Museum, a place dedicated to Walter Scott, Rabbie Burns and Robert Louis Stephenson.  A very interesting building with some good exhibits.

We had a jacket potato for lunch before having a walk and explore of Princes Gardens, then onto Waverly for our train.

The photo is part of the National Gallery and the School of Divinity, part of Edinburgh University.
