Easedale Tarn in the late afternoon calm

Drove to Grasmere this morning, parking in a layby above the village and walking in to the centre. We enjoyed a coffee and cheese scone at Baldrey's Cafe and set off for the National Trust property at Allan Bank for a second visit this year. Rather than repeat myself, read all about Allan Bank here.

From Allan Bank we set off for a walk to Easedale Tarn and back, a walk we'd first done last August. A popular route, especially on a Sunday afternoon and very rewarding when you arrive at the tarn, especially today when, although the weather was overcast and dull, it was calm and the surrounding fells were reflected in the still waters of the tarn.
