Mono Monday 90 Travel

Such a grey day today with lots of work to do of the paid variety so ideas for today's MM theme evolved slowly and this is not at all what I originally planned to do.

My picture illustrates three different  travel tales:  the book is a 1902 edition of a  travel guide by Karl Baedeker, one of the first individuals to produce travel guides.  if you are interested, more information can be found  here.
The other 2 items refer to family history related to travel.  The little suitcase belonged to my mother-in-law when she was evacuated as a young girl, during WW2, from Sheffield to Derbyshire.  What a frightening experience that must have been!
The passport placed on the case belonged to my father-in law and tells a scarier story: in 1939 he was visiting a family friend in Germany when he received a telegram from his father, urging him to leave immediately, as war was imminent.  He did so, leaving on what was possibly the last train out of Germany to England, before war broke out: this passport has the dates of travel, to and from, within its covers.
