Hanbury Hall

We met Ann's cousin Chris and his wife, Jean, at Hanbury Hall, a National Trust property in Worcestershire, this morning.  We haven't been there for many years so it was good to revisit.  We started with a guided tour of the house, owned by the Vernon family since 1701, then off to the cafe for coffee.

After a break we took a look round the formal and vegetable gardens.  Like many of these stately homes the house is positioned in the centre of many acres of parkland, there are plenty of walks and it was nice to see the changing tints in the trees.

The photo is taken by the main gate into the hall. I know I've done autumn leaves previously but it's hard to resist.
