Sycamore

The leaves fall patiently
Nothing remembers or grieves
The river takes to the sea
The yellow drift of leaves

Marshland proved to be a very watchable and beautifully filmed thriller, and on another level, an allegory for the old and new Spain post Franco. Set in an extraordinary part of Spain, all deltas and flamingos and bleached out colours. Good chips beforehand too.

Son#1 treated himself to a day off editing and has headed off to Cork for some indoor climbing. Himself went off on a cycle ride and I'm not sure what I've been doing - a gentle walk down to the sea where the leaves from oaks and sycamores lined the water.

On a different not - several people have asked whether DerelictThursday might be reinstated. In the absence of SarumStroller and the arrival of Autumn I am suggesting that Derelict  Thursday arises phoenix-like - not on a thursday (now very enjoyably filled with Abstract Thursday) but on a sunday. I would host it in a leisurely fashion for four weeks and then hand it on to sdg92 and he would take it from there. Would that suit?
