Art for Lunch

I spent a very pleasant two hours this afternoon pulling together the reception children's paintings and collages into a large wall painting. It's not quite a mural, not quite a collage, not quite a drawing, but whatever it is I had great fun with a pot of black paint.

The wall will be covered with perspex to protect it and I really hope that teachers and pupils will paint it out soon and replace it with something else - not because I don't like it, but because I really want to encourage temporary art work in the space and a regularly changing view from the serving hatch.
