He gave it a go

And that's all I can ask of him.

Andre took Marley along to a star jam class tonight. Because of his autism, Marley was totally able to be included in star jam- the dance class for kids with special needs that Kanye went to on Monday.

Tonight's Class was more for children like Marley, that have a disability but are high functioning, verbal and social.

So Marley went along. He gave the class a go.

Andre said Marley introduced himself to everyone and said he liked lego but for a lot of the class he stuck close to Andre.

Marley participated in one part where they put ribbons on his arms but Andre said he stayed off to the side spinning with his ribbons pretending to be a bird, staying close to Andre. He didn't go over and dance, he told Andre at one point that he wasn't tall enough to join the group.

Andre said that they were all young to late teens so no children marleys age so he probably was a little intimidated by that.

When he came home he told me about it but said he didn't want to go again. We told him we were so proud he tried it and it's ok if he doesn't want to go again, it's good to try things. We're happy he knows if he wants to give something a go he might like that we'll support him.

Kanye was off today again, he was pretty tired and not himself, sort of all over the show and into everything.

I had a busy day making ph calls, rescheduling /making appointments, sending emails.

I also got a ph call from a church group that work with the special needs school Kanye goes to, every year they offer a few families of kids at the school Christmas hampers and this year Kanyes school have nominated us to get one!

So they'll send me a form to gather our details and then a few days before Christmas we can go pick up a hamper that will be put together for us care of regular donations they get from people at Christmas. Even the boys will get a wee toy!

Such a great thing I'm so grateful for, it really cheered me up. I was feeling kinda tired from last night.

So a better day today than I was expecting! So proud of Marley for being brave and trying something new!
