Life of a bubble maker

Home sweet home

First dive (Nudie Retreat 1 (27.7m 62 mins)) was to go and find the Denise seahorse on the reef at about 28m. Got down there after heading into a current but couldn’t find it. Headed up a bit looking for a pink seahorse, which we found. Managed to take a few photos finning into the current to hold position sucking air. J called me back as she had seen another one next door to it but couldn’t get a photo of both o them in focus. Next door to that was a brown seahorse that wasn’t playing and couldn’t get a good photo of it. Headed back to the boat after using a lot of air. Managed to see the electric clam on the way that J took some video of. Played around in the shallows with J took some photos of the ?? Skelington nudie as I had no air left. Nice dive
Second dive (Jahir 1 (15.9m 77 mins)) was a muck dive with nudies, orangutan crab, couple of nice Ambon scorpion fish, nudies and a nice boxfish. Highlight of the dive was a Mimic octopus, which we had a long time with and took lots of photos. Also a couple of lemon Goby’s in a hole with some eggs. Managed a few good shot of both. Came out freezing as the water temperature dropped 3 degrees during the dive. Spent 30 minutes shivering, better than a 60 mins abs workout DVD.

Third dive (Police Pier (17.7m 75 mins)) headed into a current with large and small frogfish to be found. Got attached by a clown fish while trying to take photos of the large frogfish. Nice photo of a puffer fish in a can, along with a goby in a bottle but the photos weren’t great. At the end of the dive we had a coupe of harlequin shrimps to play with, unfortunately I couldn’t get a photo of both of them looking at me. Nice dive to finish the day.
