Bargaibanti Seahourse

First dive (Aer Bajo 3 (26.8m 69 mins)) today started a bit boring, which was a surprise. We were on a mission to find something, turned out to be 3 hairy black frogfish. Too big to photograph with a macro lens and the German member of our party kicked the crap out of the viz with his video camera before we got there. On the way up we saw a larger sea horse towards the end of the dive, which J loved.
Second dive (Makawide 2 (21.0m 63 mins)) on a small island in the channel with a bit of current. Turned out to be a fantastic dive with Denise sea horses and then Bargibanti pygmy sea horses on a sea fan just next door. Not the easiest place to take pictures but happy with the ones I did take. Just down from this was an electric clamp. The opening flashed different colours like flashing LED lights. From there it was up shallow as I had sucked through my air getting the photos of the sea horses at 20m. Saw some nice spotted rays, hairy lobster shrimp. Got my fix of clown fish and Bangai Cardinal fish. Hopefully a few good shots for J.
Third dive (Kareko Batu (23.8m 71 mins)) was a blue ring octopus, a free swimming eel, Pygmy cuttle fish and a nice normal cuttle fish, some red shrimps around a log with a moray under it. A large solar panel nudie about 6” long. Hairy skellington crabs and a very small orangutan crab at the end. J tried to get a very large mantis shrimp out of its hole.

Night dive tonight (Aer Prang 1 (9.1m 75 mins)). Not the best dive as my focusing light on the camera flooded within 5 minutes and my main torch started to dive after 10 minutes. Spent the dive right next to the dive guide or J so I could see anything. Still managed to see to see an albino scorpion fish, nudies, small frog fish, a nice small haraquine fish, nice decorator crab which we managed to et out od its shell, very nice blue baby squid. Managed to spend a bit of time with a Matote octopus, which was the highlight of the dive. Finished the dive off playing with a long arm octopus.
