If you can't beat them...

Crab Apples

Tomorrow we are off for a few days in the caravan and back one afternoon then off to Edinburgh early the next morning.

In the corner of the garden we have a wild Crab Apple tree.  This year it has had so much fruit the branches have bent down to touch the ground.  Katkatkat makes apple wine from them every year.  Because the crop is so large we started to pick them today knowing we wouldn't have time to get many when we got back.

The short picking session today proved to have yielded just over 3 stones of apple.
