Strathconon

It poured with rain all night so we took David to work as the roads were flooded. It was still raining and we felt hungry so went to Dobbies for a cooked breakfast and to see how much the sunflower seeds were £29.99 for 12.75kg so too expensive so we drove to Dingwall to Frank Nicol Farm and machinery where the bag was just £19.99 so £10 cheaper.
Popped to the tip to get rid of some rubbish, picked up a cake and cuppa from Strathpeffer and went to Loch Kinellan to drink it. I went for a short walk as it was just spitting by then. Lots of birds around.
We were then heading for home but decided on a little detour and ended up driving down the road to Strathconon. The leaves were beautiful so many yellows, reds and oranges and to our surprise the sun came out and we managed to go for a walk for a few hours. We walked past fast flowing burns, tumbling waterfalls , woodland and forest filled with birdsong and hills with handsome stags. Got back to the car and there was a short shower which gave a beautiful rainbow.
We drove back over the dam and down to Loch Achility which looked beautiful with reflections of the Autumn colours.
