Hungarian Goodies

We are lucky that our flight doesn't leave until this evening, so we've had an extra day to explore Budapest on our own.

Our first visit was to a well-known local spa, with enough marble and mosaics to rival any Roman baths! We did think about having a massage, but sadly no appointments were free until too late in the day for us. Another time!

Back to the ship for lunch, then a stroll to the massive St Stephen's Basilica, passing a colourful street market en royte. The food stalls were fabulous and the smells so inviting, so L and I shared a pork sausage in a pancake, similar to the ones in the photo while our menfolk looked on in disbelief:-)

The collage shows some of the delights, plus the paprika we bought to bring home. Worn out now, so relaxing in the lounge until the coaches arrive to take us to the airport.

We have all had a fabulous holiday and loved all the new places and experiences and people we've met. Holidays do broaden the mind, but it will be good to sleep in our own beds tonight:-)

Will catch up with you all soon and hope you've enjoyed sharing this cruise with me!
