Hampton Court History

G & I had a fabulous day out today at Hampton Court Palace.  We were there for six hours and the time just flew.  This was our second visit this year, and we still haven't seen everything!

There was so much to see and photograph that it was difficult to choose what to blip, so I chose three shots relating to the incredibly enjoyable re-enactment which included the firing of muskets and a small canon. Great fun (and a bit noisy!).

However, I could have chosen the photo of dew on the roses, or the sunlight on satin swags, or light falling across objects on a table, or chandelier crystal or so many things. It's a great place to learn more history, particularly about Henry VIII, and the room displays and audio guide are fabulous.  I'd definitely recommend a visit.
