Tiny Tuesday

When I opened the curtains this morning and saw this little spider hanging on his web on the other side of the window, I thought, great, it's Tiny Tuesday, here is my entry sorted. Being on the other side of the window is just how I like to take photos of spiders, with a solid pane of glass between me and him!

It was also Fix-it Tuesday in our household.... My new MacBook Pro has had a problem with Photoshop CC for a while now, something to do with the high resolution screen - so it gets black blocks all over the image which makes it impossible to see anything. I tried to google the solution, I did a diagnostic fix-it as per the Apple website, but nothing helped. I eventually spoke to someone on the phone who made me push all sorts of keystrokes at the same time that were extreme finger gymnastics, and still it did not help. I have been trying to book an appointment with the tech specialist at the Apple store for over a week now but it seems you can no longer book any appointments online. So this morning I was at the Apple store as the doors opened, and asked for someone to see my computer. I was fobbed off and told I could get an appointment next week, but then I had a moment where the poor girl making appointments got the sharp side of my tongue - thank goodness Thomas was not with me, he would have been very embarrassed as he hates it when I loose my cool. I told her how inefficient Apple have become and how one can no longer book appointments online - she replied that one could, bookings open at midnight but are gone within minutes. You can imagine my reply...she eventually gave me an appointment for an hour and a half's time.

There was nothing else to do but wait for the appointment. Fortunately there is a large Zara store across from the Apple store, and a Costa Coffee next door to that...I made good use of my waiting time! The young tech specialist who I saw had no idea how to fix it, he said it is something to do with the latest version of Photoshop CC and the new models of the MacBook Pro laptops. He decided to uninstall Photoshop and then to re-install it. While we were waiting for it to re-install he googled the problem as found that others have experienced the same problem who had advised a certain setting in preferences to be changed, which he duly carried out and hopefully this has solved it. Time will tell as it seems to occur after using it for a while.

The next thing to be fixed was our dishwasher. It broke about a week ago but is so sophisticated that it gives an error code so we knew what the problem was - it was the heating element. The Miele engineer came out as promised and replaced that part, which unfortunately it was rather expensive :(

The next thing to be fixed today was ...my back. Another chiropractor appointment, but that is an ongoing series of treatments.
