Murano, Torcello, Burano and a Bag of Ducks

Was really difficult to choose a main photo for the day - so spoilt for choice.  In the end settled for part of one of the pieces in the Murano Glass Museum.  I thought it might be a bit over-commercialised but it was actually wonderful - so many stunning pieces put together as a timeline of glass making - well worth a visit.  A vaporetto toTorcello was next as there was a special mosaic in the church there that K wanted to see.  After this it was Burano - J, when she saw pictures of the place said it looked like Tobermory on acid and she wasn't wrong!  The extras include a view of Murano, a young gull drinking in Torcello and then 4 photos of Burano including the wonky church and a boat with a bag of ducks (they were plastic, we checked, but quite surreal - perhaps they have an annual duck race).  A really special day, ending with a glorious sunset on the vaporetto ride back to Venice.
