Kayaking in Caves

Today we went on a kayaking tour around the rivers near Ao Nang. We went through some caves and got out of the boats to explore. There were some really old (2000-3000 I think?) cave paintings everywhere in one of the chambers.

The photo shows our tour guide and some of the other people. We had just gone through a cave that opened out into a dead end in the river. It was surrounded on all sides by steep jungle hills and cliffs.

In the evening we went for a meal at one of the restaurents by the sea in Ao Nang. As we were eating the weather got worse and ended up turning into a tropical thunder storm. We were sitting outside but they could sense the storm and moved us behind some cover. Pretty soon rain started lashing down with strong winds throwing the trees about and lightning out at sea.
