Sloe-ly Does It
Called "Schlehen*" in German.
Doctor's appointment this morning. The X-Rays showed nothing too untoward, but I'm scheduled for a CT Scan next Wednesday. Better safe than sorry and all that.
I've also been told that I don't get enough sunlight and I've got Vitamin D tablets to take. Expensive Vitamin D tablets. Lesson learned, don't buy them from the Apotheke (like a Chemist), they're miles cheaper from a Drogerie (sort of like Boots without the prescription bit).
And in the latest from German Customer Service, we can recommend avoiding UPS. They didn't bother asking a neighbour to take the package, they just took it to "a convenient place" for me to go and pick it up from. Let's just say, there was nothing convenient about it. It would have been fine if I drove a car & loved going to out of town shopping centres, but I don't (and won't).
