Our Handsome Prince!

Hello Blipfriends!
Dolly here reporting!

My mum and I have had a secret for over a week and only today can we share it with you!!

A few days ago my mum found out that Prince Harry was going to be a passenger on her flight to Washington DC!!  Not only that, but he was going to come back with her as well!

Me:  "Wow!  Really, Mum??  Wait til we tell all our blip friends and just think about the fab picture you'll be able to post on blipfoto!!"

Mum:  "Not so fast, Dolly!  This is very hush-hush right now. And I've been told we can't take ANY pictures!  So sadly, no proper blipfoto of Harry!

So...we've had to keep this secret and it's been so hard!  Especially when we did our blips on Tue, Wed and Thu!  Now you know why Mum had to go to work early on Tue!  But today she found out that now that the trip is over there's no harm in sharing on Social Media.

Mum said that although she's had many passengers who are celebrities, she's never had a member of the Royal Family on board any of her flights. In fact, though it's happened before, it's quite rare that they would even fly on an American carrier instead of a British one. So she and the whole crew felt very honoured.

Mum worked in First Class where the Prince  was sitting with some of his entourage. In fact, she said she cooked his dinner and since he ate every morsel, she thinks he liked her cooking!  She said he was one of the most polite passengers she'd ever had and she has since heard that he was very impressed with all the arrangements as well as the experience on board.  So she hopes that he may one day come back again!

So what was Prince Harry doing in Washington DC?  His whirlwind tour was all connected with promoting the next Invictus Games, to be held in Orlando in 2016. Prince Harry started the Invictus Games for injured soldiers here in the UK in 2014. His hosts for the day were Michelle Obama and the 2nd Lady, Jill Biden. He attended a basketball game at Fort Belvoir,  a reception at the British Embassy, an Invictus Games Board meeting and even got to pay a visit to President Obama. That's enough to tire anyone out!  Mum said they have nice comfy lay-flat seats in First Class, so he was able to get lots of rest on the way home!

Me:  "So Mum!  Now that you and Prince Harry are such good friends - is he going to drop by and go walkies with us?  Or maybe we can meet him over in Windsor Great Park and go walkies with him there?  Maybe his Granny would let him bring the corgis??"

Mum:  "That would be very pleasant indeed. I'm sure he'd enjoy that very much. But he may just be a bit too busy!"
