Feathered thorn

This year I have made the decision as a Christian not to celebrate Halloween in any way shape or form whatsoever, so my blip is another lovely moth trap offering.
I have been waiting to see this moth, the Feathered thorn Colotois pennaria as it is the last moth  from last year I had yet to see this year.
The Feathered thorn is named after the large feathery antennae sported by the male moths. The moth is quite common in Britain, and flies in a single generation between September and November.
I wonder if this is it now, or if I am going to get more (new) beauties this year?
How exciting!
