Eeeek...Aphid!

I challenged myself to find something really tiny to capture today. And here it is...a Oleander Aphid Aphis nerii Boyer de. It's sometimes called the 'milkweed aphid' and that's right were I found it, along with many, many of its kin. (see the 'extra photo') They are very tiny, maybe about 3mm in length. I don't usually destroy living things in the yard, especially after taking their portrait. But I made an exception in the case of these insects! The milkweed plants are too important to the Monarch Butterflies to allow these guys to destroy them!
