WALTER'S PEAK SHEEP STATION

Today we took one of the few working steam boats across the water to Walters peak sheep station! It was beautiful!! We also got to eat a fantastic lunch and learn more about the grand house next to the station! But there were a few differences between Australia sheep station and new Zealand's sheep station. I think the sheep industry is more of a money maker in Australia because they had huge amount of sheep to shear everyday and it seems a little more industrialized. In New Zealand I think the wool industry is a little bit more relaxed and free rangish. I really like that in New Zealand you can see sheep grazing in fields all over the islands- it feels a lot more natural
