Take the weather with you...

Newcastle avoided the massive shelf cloud that hit Sydney today (check out the shots from around Bondi if you haven't seen it) but we got a couple of wee weather systems running by, including one that dumped some hail! It was wonderfully refreshing in the twenty odd degree heat. Anyway, that was later.

This morning started with a top secret mission. Loose lips and all that so I can't say more but Jen, Gitama, Hamish and I headed down to Redhead beach. The morning was wonderful and I regretted not taking my camera but it meant I got to slosh about in the Pacific again. You could really feel the power of the ocean even from the shore, the waves pushing and pulling you and dragging the sand from under your ankles as they receded.

After dropping off Hamish we headed out for a light lunch and a drive to some of Jen's favourite blip haunts. That's when the weather started turning. Just a couple of wee systems passed our way providing some lovely dramatic backdrops.

Back up the road for a delicious lamb roast... heavenly and spoilt rotten!
