Blenheim Palace Blipmeet

What a great day.

The day started with almost biblical rain, that flitted on and off during the morning. From stair rods through to light drizzle it constantly flitted one way or the other.

We all met in Woodstock at lunch, and then headed into the park at Blenheim with the rain starting again. Fortunately, by the time we all mustered at the gates outside the main courtyard the rain had stopped, it was warm, and the sky was showing quite a bit of bright blue and dappled cloud.

We all had a steady walk around some of the grounds of the palace, their gardens, and along the lake down to the cascade (seen here).

Our walk back brought us to the courtyard just as a collection of Supercars turned up for a private party being hosted in the palace. A Ferrari, a couple of Porsche 918's and 4 McLaren road cars made up the group, with one car being driven by Mika Hakkinen, the former F1 champion. An added bonus for a number of the group who are either car mad, or connected to the industry in one form or another.

It was lovely to have a nice wander around the grounds with other blippers. I really enjoyed myself, and I hope they did too.

I have added a few extra pictures from the day. Do please have a look.
