On Some Days

A Hidden Gem

Christchurch has no shortage of subjects for Derelict Sunday. This is the Bathhouse at Mona Vale.  It is empty of plants and I couldn't find out from Mr Google what kind of plants used to be in it.  The main building at Mona Vale is awaiting restoration after the earthquakes. The gardens surrounding the buildings are still as stunning as ever and resplendent with spring blooms.
This morning was set aside for the son in law to give me a lesson in taking longer exposures so Mona Vale provided both running water and a derelict subject.  In the extras are my shots of making the water silky and then showing more of the separated parts of the flowing water. I don't know the term for that.
