The Morning After the Night before

Last night’s excellent party went on until 3 o’clock this morning so we awoke feeling a little tired. After breakfast, and a session of putting away furniture in the hall we held the party in, we headed for home.
As we drove past Sundsvall airport the sun came out and we decided to take a walk in the nearby nature reserve. We’d been close many times but never been there so it was good to seize the moment. It also seemed unlikely that once we got home we ‘d go out again. Another good reason to do it now!
So we walked across the river delta to the sea.  The path was excellent, designed so those less mobile than us, or pushing prams, could also get to see this lovely area. I rather liked the way the path zig-zagged away from me in this image.
On 4th April 2014 I blipped this nature reserve from the air. We walked to the long beach seen in the upper half of that image.
I think we’ll have to return in the summer, when the water is warmer and we can also swim.
