Strawberry

A bland, overcast day today but I am feeling very virtuous as I  cleaned the oven - a long overdue chore. I couldn't be bothered going out looking for a blip after that so made do with what I have at home - which turned out to be a strawberry.

I have four large pots of strawberries  and they are ripening fast. I start picking them in November and they fruit right through to March/April and the first frosts The ones  grown at home seem to have much more flavour than bought ones. The taste of a freshly picked, sun warmed strawberry is hard to beat.
