Red Crested Bulbul

It was very interesting watching a fairly common summer visitor to our home area, the Whimbrel, ignoring the the cheeky Mynah birds (see extra) as it searched the grass outside our room.  It was not easy to get good pictures of the Red Crested Bulbul or the Red Cardinal Fody (see extra) whenever they came to search the bourgainvillea nearby but it was much easier to get a photo of the two very intricate Weaver bird nests (see extra) which had fallen onto the road.
