Nanny state

On my 33rd birthday I happened upon this signboard at Stansted. With how much stupidity is the general public credited? A huge amount, it seems. I wish the keepers of our nanny state could draw a line between the need to go overboard like this and the need to provide basic information that people can't work out for themselves.

I think this blip signifies that irascibility is only increasing with the passing years. The plunge into the 34th year worries me for this reason.
