Canal Clearing

This morning I went for a walk along the Montgomery Canal with a friend. The last few times I've been along there the water has been choked with weed (it's not a navigable stretch) and we had been discussing this. As we walked we saw this vehicle coming along the canal. It had caterpillar tyres to move through the water and scooped up the weed and deposited it on the far bank- a very efficient way to do it. It's good to see the canal being maintained.

We also saw redwings and a bullfinch and walked in the window between the rain.
