Morning

A temperature inversion this morning saw the valley full of mist and every surface dotted with dew. The mist soon cleared and it's been another gorgeous day. No outings today though, apart from a good lunch at the Dos Rios; we virtuously walked there and back, resulting in the need for a siesta on our return.

Our adventure yesterday turned out to have invisible dangers as well as visible ones. Last night S had the nasty surprise of finding a tick embedded in his leg. He extracted it with the tools at his disposal (nail clippers and a needle :-O ) and doused it in antiseptic. This morning he visited the doctor in Aínsa, who prescribed antibiotics and advised him to have a blood test when we get back to France. A friend once vividly described his severe case of Lyme's disease to us -- better safe than sorry! Useful information: a tick in Spanish is una garrapata.
