Across the estuary

In to Berwick on the bus this morning so MrM could have the car, as he needed to buy some wood. He met me from work and we had a short walk on Spittal beach as it was getting dark. The lights in Berwick, across the Tweed estuary, were just coming on.

While we were standing on the beach, thousands of geese flew over (see extra photo) - so many that it was impossible to get a shot to give any sort of true impression of their numbers. It was amazing to witness so many skeins, forming and re-forming as they flew to the south-east, following the coastline.

Then on to buy a couple more match pots - we need to decide on a colour for the bathroom SOON, and neither of us particularly liked the colours we chose before...
