After finishing off at work I returned home to excited dogs...clearly they could not comprehend the full meaning of the cold wind howling outside and the sound of heavy rain on every window.

Loaded into the car, we swung by to collect Evie the Wonderdog. Sensibly, she had her waterproof cape on. Headed towards the back of Stromness, the sky was turning darker by the minute. It was the colour of impending heavy hail.

I sought shelter with George, Debby and the herd and had a good catch up over a drink before heading out into the improved weather. It was windy and we did get caught in another hail shower, all of us narrowing our eyes to prevent blindness by 60mph lumps of ice.

Back to the barn briefly to say goodbye and find a blip. Djego kindly provided poses...He was probably wondering if I had a carrot.

Gorgeous has provided wine and also my favourite comfort food - Chicken burger and chips...AND I now have three days away from work :-D
