Long time no see!

This afternoon I noticed a small blob of colour at the back of a border and when I went to investigate found it was a seedling of Alonsoa meridionalis, an annual plant from Chile. The open flower has been chewed by something, but it's a striking colour.

I haven't grown this plant in years, could be 15 years, and for some reason a seed has been lying dormant and had suddenly germinated!

I must collect seed from it - it's a lovely little thing!

No more Blipping for a week - we're off on holiday to the Cairngorms.
