Act of God - vs - John Parks takeaway

The Apocalypse has begun.......

Got to my last clients(Gaz) house after avoiding floods. Whilst there Gaz's dad was talking about ordering a takeaway. I carried on and finished the haircut.

Went home to find pretty much the entire bottom of the village was flooded, especially around the White Tun pub which had only just last night opened under new management. When I got there it was a good half metre under water. Apparently it was about a metre at one point. Peoples houses and cars damaged, roads turfed up. A police van came down the village with the sirens and lights going, he had to turn around as did most others.

It was clearing off reasonably quickly and people were able to start getting their cars though and people were returning the tables/chairs/plant pots that had been washed away from the pub.

Left - A piece of road that had been damaged from the flooding.

Middle - The pub after the water had gone down a bit.

Right - The delivery driver who had just braved the flooded street on foot to meet John Park(Gaz's dad). I couldn't help but laugh.
