Blairs Stores

Mr S's cousin is visiting from Bristol for the next few days and we took a trip over to Rahane near Helensburgh to visit Fiona and Gary.  

As ever, our every need was catered for, even down to the Irn Bru and Tunnocks Caramel Wafers at the bedside to cure a possible hangover.  

This visit we were also picking up 'Florence' - then red Beetle.  It was Grandpa S's car, but has not been used since he passed away two years ago.  We have talked about selling it, because it was too big for No 1 to learn to drive in.  However two years down the line, she has more driving experience.  She is VERY sad to part with the wee blue Corsa (sorry Tash! We will find a good home for it!)...you are always attached to your first car (I loved my yellow Chevette!!!).

There are a few niggles to sort with Florence, and then the wee Corsa will find a new lucky owner.  

On the way home Mr S and cousin Dave stopped in at Luss to sample the delights of the village that gave us 'Take the High Road' (which is a very guilty pleasure that Mr S and I indulge in on a daily basis with the STV Edinburgh reruns!).
