The Day of the Bear

It was all about the bear today with Radio 2 doing a brilliant charity push for ‘Children-in-Need’. Back in 2007 we took a Pudsey Bear flying with us and he also had his own logbook and got rides in all kinds of interesting aircraft! He was raffled off and was won by a friend … who in time gave him and his goodies back to me. He is sitting on the left of the picture and a spare I was given later is on the right (similarly attired in flying suit!!).

Tonight was the big show on TV featuring fundraising carried out from around the country and ways the money is spent. Little Gransden airshow raises money for CIN every year and the cheque presentation was featured on the program. This is the biggest airshow I am involved in as FDD and is equally hard work / frustrating to organise as it is pleasurable to watch and enjoy.

The fun of the TV show was somewhat marred by the horrific events coming out of Paris tonight …
